Girl Meets World

Still bitter...

but I had good day yesterday. Was walking to the bus stop and staring up at the sky with anger as it began to rain. Just as I got to the bus stop I hear someone calling my name, pronouncing it wrong while they were at it. I looked over and there was Naveen sticking his head out of his car window. He asks if I'm going to work. As I was wearing my uniform it was pretty definiate I was. I'm not exactly dying to go out in public dressed like that. So I called back, yes and he offered me a ride. Being driven in an actual car instead of a bus is like the most fantastic thing ever. I hate the buses. As we approached MGM the rain just got harder and harder and harder. By the time we were parked it was ridiculous. I pulled on my costuming issued clear rain jacket and walked briskly to cast services. When we got there I stayed put while Naveen headed off as his shift was starting. I still had 45 minutes. I didn't want to leave the cast services building it was raining so hard. It got ten times worse about ten minutes later and there was no way I wanted to go out in that. I had left my coaster jacket at home cause it was slightly damp from the day before and I just knew that if I got stuck outside that when I came indoors into the air conditioning I'd freeze, so I got another from Cast Services. We are technically only supposed to have one out, so I have to take it back today. I also took out another uniform in the event that if I got positively drenched I'd have another to wear. So I hung out at cast services as long as I could then braved the rain. By the time I made it to the coaster break room I was soaked.

I signed in and my first assignment was Studio B, which would have been nice, except I was bumping someone for break and the actual rotation was going to go through soon. After studio B comes Fast Pass Distribution which is of course outdoors. Needless to say about 15 minutes later I was outside and freezing and wet. That lasted for about 1.5 hours as after distribution comes Fast Pass return. Then annoyingly I got my half hour break. I enjoy the break of course, but wish it had come later on in the shift. I got another sub at subway then back to the breakroom where I ate it. Thrilling eh? After break the computer told me to start a rotation so I went to Unload. I hate unload. You have to yell and it's just not easy when you have no voice. By the end I was just waving my hands at the people to get them to leave. After unload comes backgrouper which is now my fave position. I was there for about an hour and then got bumped to Load advance. Then shortly later I was bumped to break again. Had my break then the computer told me to start the same rotation all over again, so it was back to unload. Thankfully I got to Backgrouper at about 8:45pm and was there til closing. It was a good time. Went on the all ride which was as always a blast. Who doesn't love being paid to ride a coaster?

Sometime during my shift while I was unload and Naveen was unload advance the two of us decided we wanted to try and see pirates after work. Sadly it became obvious that Pirates was sold out for the night so we decided on Superman instead. So I got a ride home with him. Got changed then we went to Perkins for some food with some other guys from work. I got french toast. We ate incredibly fast then raced to the theater for the 12:30a.m. show. We got there just in time. It was a really good movie but not quite satisfying. The man in tights was fantastic though. Yummy all around. We didn't actually get out of the theater til about 3:15a.m. so it was a very late night but fun.

I still have no one to see Pirates with and I'm still sad. I may have to go alone if no one turns up. Oh well.

On the 'Malcolm' front I saw him yesterday for about 2 seconds. Blah. At least he said hi.

I've got to go into MGM today to drop off that jacket and pick up my pay stub so I should do that soon.
