I haven't blogged in a long time. For that I am sorry. These past few weeks have been super busy and I've barely had time to get my head on straight, let alone write a detailed account of what I've been up to. Of course now I can barely remember anything, but I'll try to figure it out for you all.
So after my two days off on the 6th and 7th I worked for 7 days straight. It was a long haul and my body was nearly ready to give out on me.
On Monday the 13th Joy and Donald threw a coaster party at Donald's house after work. Technically we were supposed to be off at 9 that night, but due to stupid executives making stupid decisions we were force extended until 10 and then off at 10:30pm. This was the story for that entire week actually, so every closing shift I had was extended.
Anyways after work we all trooped over to donalds house and had an amazing time. One of the best nights of my summer. Almost everyone was there and man was it a fun night. I really love these people, I can't beleive in less than a week I wont' be seeing any of them. The party was filled with amazing funness. Group sing alongs to karaoke songs on that were playing on the TV. I was particularily fond of our round of Closing Time, and I will never forget that moment during What a Feeling (flashdance) when out of nowhere Jimmy lept up and started doing the flashdance dance, then just as sudden as it began, he was back down on the ground like nothing had happened. Also had a nice dance with this guy named Josh who used to work at coaster. He's about as flaming as they come, we grooved to Time of Your Life from Dirty Dancing.
I suppose the biggest moment of the night is when I, Brynna Gabrielson, consumed Alcohol. Before you get too excited, don't worry, it wasn't much at all and I only did it because it was one of those moments. Donald and Joy brought all of us up that we're leaving and we toasted what an amazing group of people this summer was. They handed out shots of yager (Spelling?). I wasn't going to do it, but I didn't want to be that person. It was kind of one of those moments you always remember, surrounded by these amazing friends saluting on of the most amazing experiences of your life. I mean, even Matt was doing it. lol. Anyways I did it, and then spit half of it back out then chased it with half of matt's fruit punch because my god did that stuff taste like shit. I don't not consume alcohol becuase I'm against it or anything. I don't drink becuase I hate the taste. I mean I really hate it. I can't even drink coffee and that stuff should be like a life blood to me. I mean, I'm never awake.
It was a great party. There are pictures on my facebook album. I'll post some links later on. If u dont' have facebook u really should just go and get it, then add me. That way I dont' have to post links. lol.
Liz drove me home from the party around 330am. I would have stayed the night with the other CP's but I had to work at 3 the next day and I didn't want to chance missing my shift or anything. That shift the next day was crappy too, stupid long ass shift til midnight because of a freaking convention. All young accountants who dont' know how to count. How hard is two per row? I mean serious. I yell that out and they all stand there and stare at the rows like they're trying to solve a proof.
The next day, Wednesday, I was off. That was shopping/parks day with Liz. We started off at aroudn 1130am and headed over to Cast Connection and Property Control where I got some sweet deals on some sweet stuff. Then we dropped by Company D at Disney U so liz could get a funky lanyard. Since we were already parked at DU we decided to take the cast bus to the tunnels and enter Magic Kingdom that way. I was happy we did this cause i haven't been in the tunnels all summer and wanted to go in at least once before we left. We spent some time in the kingdom doing all the good stuff. Then we got tired of it and went to MGM to see our folk. Of course it we EMH night and the place was insanely busy, prompting us to leave after doing coaster and tower. We called it an early night, we were both tired, and wen't home.
The next day I hung out with Jimmy all day. It was a long but totally fun day. We started out at MGM, rode tower and coaster....I really don't do that enough, lol. I did some more shopping and Jimmy dragged me through the Honey I Shrunk the Kids Playground which was hot and uncomfortable. Then we left and drove over to the Contemporary and went up to the roof to take pictures and admire the view. You can see almost the entire world from up there. It was nice. Unfortunately once you get outside, getting back inside the building is an issue because all the fire doors lock, so we had to climb down like 15 flights of stairs to get back in the building. After that my legs were ready to give out on me. Only now am I starting to feel not so sore, many days later. After the contemporary we monorailed it over to the Polynesian and had a gander around. I love that hotel. Would love to stay there one day. We then popped over to the Grand Floridian, also gandered around there. Then it was over to MK to get a smoothie and ride the TTA. We decided not to stay in the park cause it was mad busy, so we went back to the contemporary and got Jimmy's car. We headed over to Chick-fil-a for some food. This was around 7pm. We then went back to MGM to wait for Ryan to get off work at 1145pm. He finally got off and we met an entire crew of people at Perkins for more food. It was the night before Kelly left, so we all said bye to her. It was sad. I miss that girl! I also have pics of this perkins trip that I will soon post.
That ended my days off. Friday I was back to work for a 8hr shift. Saturday I said to hell with it, slept in and took half a point. lol. I was supposed to be at work at 9, got there around 1030. It was a long day tho and I really haven't had a true break in a while. Sleep has been on the scant side. I needed that extra hour and a half of sleep. That day was supposed to be 12 hrs, it ended up being 10.5. Sunday I worked from 10-8, then monday I worked 930-830. Today I worked 1015 to 645. After work I walked around the park waitin for Wendy to get off, then at 8 we ran over to see fantasmic. It was good.
I also finally saw Kevin and crew today. I'd been getting worried, seeing as I have to check Kev and I into Port Orleans tomorrow. All is sorted now, especially since he now has the right cell phone number for me :)
Tomorrow I work my last shift at coaster for god knows how long. It could be a year, it could be forever. This uncertainty makes me feel uneasy. My stomach is in knots, my eyes are teary. I'm going to miss these people so much. I'm leaving another piece of my heart here in Disney. That sounds so corney. When did I become that person? Anyways, it's going to be difficult. I love this place. You all should know just how much.
I'll try to blog again before I leave, but I might not get the chance. I fly back on the 27th. I'm flying into seattle. Should be back in Ladysmith on the 28th. I'm not unhappy to be going home, only unhappy to be leaving Disney. I like home, I really do. I just wish I could have home and Disney at the same time.

So last I left off I was heading out to Bennigans to eat dinner with Tyler last Friday. So Tyler and I went and ate. It was alright. I think I'm getting tired of buffalo chicken. I've overdone it. lol. After dinner we dropped by Walgreens because we had time before the bus to DTD left. I got some milk. We met up with Kelly on the bus. Danny was supposed to meet us, but he had fallen asleep and wasn't ready. So we got to DTD and walked around a bit. Danny met us a short while later after taking a cab to get there. Danny and Kelly ate at Earl of Sandwhich, then we all took off and went to the theatre. We got our tickets and went into the theatre. Theatre one which is like awesome, because it's got the three floors. You have to love a movie theatre with a balcony! The Bourne Ultimatum was awesome. I thuroughly enjoyed it from open to close. I think it might have been the best of the bunch.
After the show we strolled back to the bus stop and waited for it to arrive. It finally showed up about 15 minutes late. I got home around 11:00pm. I went to bed at like 11:30pm and then kind of drifted in and out of sleep. Then suddenly at midnight I started to feel kind of wierd. I figured I was hungry, cause I usually get nauseaus when i'm super hungry. But then I got up and I realized that I didn't want to eat. About five minutes later I was like puking in the bathroom. Throwing up is incredibly rare for me. I think it's been a couple years since the last time I was properly ill like that. So I stayed up feeling like shit for a couple hours and then I finally went to bed.
On Saturday morning my alarm went off at 8am, I was supposed to work at 9am. So I kind of got up and realized I was dead tired. I stumbled to the bathroom, so tired that I was falling into the wall. The fact was that the day before I'd only had like 4.5 hours of sleep, then that night I'd only had like 5 hours, so I was not in good shape. I made the educated decision to call in sick. So I called in, had to do it twice because I fell asleep during the first call. lol. I left my message, hopefully it was coherent. Then I threw my phone aside and slept until 1230. When I woke up I felt fine. Not like I'd been sick at all the night before. Tho I was super hungry by then.
I spent my day reading and watching stuff. Later that night I went to see Hairspray again with Kelly, Matt, Matt's mom and Michael from work, and his boyfriend. It was great as always, even if we had to sit in the second row cause it was so full.
On Sunday I worked at 11am. I had to start my shift with a Guest Service Basics class. It was great tho cause Joy, Tyler, Wendy, Alejandro, and Kim were all there. It was a big coaster afair in there. They gave us free junk food too, which was swell. I took a bag of chips, two pop and two chocolate bars. DOn't worry I didnt' eat it all at once. I saved stuff for later. I actually just ate the last candy bar today.
I was off on Monday, which was supposed to be Monday Funday, tho things went a little awry. It was supposed to be a big park day for like me, Wendy, Tyler, Danny and Kelly. We were all set to go when Tyler called to say he'd lost his ID. Then Danny decided he wanted to go to the pool and get a tan...Wendy was working til two. So me and Kelly set off for the Magic Kingdom. We went and ate at the mainstreet bakery. Tyler showed up a short while later having found his ID in Joy's car. We went to to tomorrowland and did some of the basics. I finally tried out MILF (Monster's INC. Laugh Floor). It was funny. Then we went to get food at Peco's Bills and Danny came and met up with us. I had a few moments of heart attack when I lost my phone at the condiment bar. Luckily a manager found it and when Tyler called he answered. Crisis averted. Then we went off and did Pirates and Tom Sawyers Island. I've never done Tom Sawyer before, so it was really cool.
We then followed that by going to Aloha Isle for some ice cream. I had a pineapple float which consistis of pinepple dole whip in pineapple juice. Best thing ever. We were sitting down eating our treats when something wierd happened and Tyler had a fit and stormed off. Still not sure what went on. At the time I was concerned with the fact that I'd just spilt a glass full of water down my leg.
So we sat dumbfounded for awhile before we figured he wasn't coming back. So Danny, Kelly and I headed to Jungle cruise where we had the gayest skipper known to man. The guy was flaming. Then we headed back to tomorrowland for Space Mountain and another round of MILF. We ended the night with a stop at the noodle station for dinner. I had ceaser salad. Then we caught the bus and went home. End of night.
Tuesday I layed around the apartment all day doing not alot. I watched Jersey Girl on my computer and read a little bit. I washed some stuff in the sink cause I didn't want to do real laundry.
Then around 430 I headed off to Disney University to meet Kelly, Matt and Kelly's roomie. From there we all headed off to Tampa to see John Mayer! We got there a little late, missed the first opener. Matt and I were sitting together, our seats weren't great, but I wasn't too concerned. I've seen John twice in the past year already. The venue was an ampitheatre and tho it was covered, it wasn't exactly the best venue for a concert in Florida. Especially when I nice big storm rolled in and it started to pour. The rain was diagnal and hit us with a vengeance. So me and Matt ran down to get away from it. It stopped raining just before John came on, thank god. So we went back to our seats in time for the show to start. It was a really good show. He's a super talented guy. He's funny too. There was a girl there with a sign that was super long and he couldn't read it because there was too much. His response "Whatever happened to 'do me'?" The songs were fantastic. He is such an amazing guitar player. I don't know what it is about Guitar Players, but man....u could be completely ugly and get on a guitar and ur hot points will sky rocket. Well only if ur really good. lol. John used to look wierd. Pale with long greasey hair. He has changed much since last september. He's dressing better and his hair is short now. Looking great. I want to marry him. He's perfect. And I could get some american citizenship. lol.
The only thing really wrong with the concert is that he didn't play Slow Dancing in a Burning Room. I can't understand why. That's the most amazing song ever. I was like appalled. Everyone was. I'm still bitter when I think about it. I mean he played NEON which is like 'huh?'. Nobody knows that song. It's not even that great. Sigh.
We got home that night at like 130am. I went straight to bed.
Wednesday I worked at 12:15pm to 8:45pm. Not an eventful shift. I can't really remember any details. I got home last night at like 10pm and made dinner. Then I watched Dirty Dancing and went to bed.
Today I worked at 1pm. It was a good shift. It was a good group of people. Then after work a bunch of us went to Perkins which was awesome. I love big trips to Perkins. And there were quite a few of us there too, which was awesome.
Now I'm home, ready to head to bed. I work at 145 tomorrow. I start my shift with PAC aka: Parade. I've never done it before, so i'm not looking forward to it! Oh well. Hopefully I won't pass out from the heat or anything. That would suck majorly. Also hopefully I won't look completely idiotic. Afterall, I have no idea what I'm doing. lol.

This morning I had to catch the bus at 5am for my 6am opening shift at coaster. Thus I had to wake up at 430am. Not the best way to start off a day. I arrived at the MGM parking lot at about 520am. It was eerie. Empty and quiet. I was sure a gremlin was going to jump out and maul me. I got into the park as as I made my way through it, I encountered a world I'm not very used to: MGM starring Third Shift. These are the people that come in after hours and do those jobs that keep the park in working order. They do landscaping stuff, cleaning stuff, fixing stuff, painting stuff. These people live in a different world that the rest of us Cast Members. First of all, alot of them don't have to wear a costume. Some of them look a little rough around the edges. As I made my way up the road a guy driving a truck leered in my direction. Another guy said hi to me, he was old tho. Well like 30's old.
The nice thing about MGM at this time of day tho is that it's at it's nicest. By this time it's been power washed within an inch of its life and everything looks so fresh and new...and it's relatively empty which makes it very cool.
I started my shift at 6am. You must understand that I haven't actually opened the building since my training like 14 months ago. So it was kind of daunting. I opened Launch Base, which is evidentally the hardest one to open. I didn't know this when I got my assignment. I was very prepared to be the cause of a delayed opening but miracle of all miracles we opened on time. It was sensational.
This morning a good cast was working. We had some good times. Some great moments of efficiency. We got like almost 15oo people in there in one hour, which is like uber good as we usually average like 1000-1100. Our OHRC (Operational Hourly Ride Capacity) is somewhere around 1300 I think. Tim and Danny were at load and were like running. Nick was back grouping like a champion and Kelly was over there at unload...unloading like a champion. I'm not sure who else was involved, but like i said, awesomeness. I myself was alley rat, but I'll take some credit because I fashioned a bandaid for Danny out of tape and guaze which helped him in his loading. I also had people moving down that alley....
I got off at noon. I waited around an alley for Kelly to get an ER, then we took the bus home. We're going to see Bourne Ultimatum later tonight with Danny and Tyler.
Yesterday was a really good day. I went to Epcot with Liz and Jamie. It was uber fun. We were only there for like 6 hours but we did alot, including getting stuck on Maelstrom when the ride went 101. We sat there near the end of it for like 15 minutes watching at the Norweigen chick walked back and forth to this little room. She didn't acknowledge us at all to tell us what was going on. It was awesome.
We also had lunch in the Mexican Quick Service. That was amazingnly good.
We also did Test Track, Figmennt, Honey I shrunk the Audience, Where's the Fire and the Mexican Boat Ride. Fun times. Oh and of course we got Fastpasses for Soarin' and did that at the end of the day, as we had to wait like five hours to use them. Awesome as always. We finished the day by getting dessert at Season's. I had the richest brownie on the planet. The brownie that has made me not want brownies for a very long time....Good times tho.
I went to bed last night at like 930pm. Didn't fall asleep for three hours tho. Even after I took two nyquil and one tylenol pm. I think I've built up a tolerance. Time to move on to the heavy stuff. lol.
I gotta go shower and get ready to meet Tyler for dinner. Bennigans. Yummmm.
