Girl Meets World

Putting the Horror in Horror Nights

It's been a few days since I last updated. Well a bit more than a few. I won't give you a minute by minute run down of what we've been up to, but I'll highlight the best bits.

So on Tuesday it was Magic Kingdom with Claire. We were rained out, so went back to our room early and had a delectable meal at Sanaa, the restaurant here at Kidani.

Wednesday we got a much loved text from Ryan inviting us to Universal, so we were going to go. Unfortunately a tropical storm was brewing so forseeing crappy weather we opted not to go and instead play video games and his and Jimmy's house. Of course the storm didn't even touch down, not a hint of rain all day. We ended up meeting Matt and then having dinner at Applebees and playing mini golf at Winter Summerland. Excellent time!

Thursday Claire and I hit up the Studios and thank gods we found Jimmy who gave us coaster Fast Passes, and then Claire knew someone at Tower who gave us Fast Passes for there. Eventually we met up with a friend of Claire's and went to dinner over at Olive Garden before retiring for the evening.

Friday Claire and I fully intended to go to the Animal Kingdom, only when we got to the bus stop the thing was absolutely packed so we walked on to an empty bus to the Magic Kingdom and rode by ourselves all the way there. The park was still a bit busy, but fun none the less. We did pretty much everything in Fantasyland which I haven't done in years. The carousel included! Later we met Claire's friend again and hung around MK for awhile longer before eating dinner at Taco Bell and going back to our hotel.

Saturday was probably the best day ever, at least so far on this trip. Claire and I met Chase at Epcot just past noon, and a short while later met Jimmy. We played around in Future World for awhile before heading over to World Showcase to partake in the Food and Wine Festival. It was beyond packed, but fun still. Eventually we met up with a few more people, Aaron Chase's boyfriend and a couple of Claire's Soarin' friends. We went and saw some 80's popstar called Taylor Dayne play at the US Pavillion. Chase was so excited it was comical.

After the concert we wondered around a bit more, picking up food along the way. I had a Nanaimo Bar at the Canadian Pavillion, it wasn't done right though. Disney Chefs just don't know what their doing it seems...Jimmy and I procured his much desired Chicken on a Stick from the China Pavillion as well. Eventually Ryan and Matt met up with us and even better times were had. We went over to Space Ship Earth and rode, running into Kyle there. It was like 2006 all over again. After riding we all headed over to Ale House and Jimmy and I had a Zinger Mountain Melt, which is essentially our two old favourites - Zinger Chicken Strips and Loaded Cheese Fries, combined. Terrible for you, but terribly good.

Yesterday was another fab day. Claire and I headed over to Animal Kingdom with her friend in the morning and we stayed there until about five. Then Jimmy and Ryan picked me up and we met Claire and Courtney over at Universal for Halloween Horror Nights. I've never been before so I was so so very excited. It was very cool. Scared the crap out of myself and spent some awkward moments clutching Jimmy. Claire was even more scared though, which was awesome. All in all it was a scary, but superbly awesome night. I only go to see about half on the haunted houses which sucks, but at least I got to go at all! I'm thinking coming back this time next year might be in order so I can go again.

Not sure what's on the plate for today. Epcot or something. We're heading to Universal on Tuesday with Jimmy, Ryan, Matt, and Athena (new awesome girl who works at coaster- well new to me and Claire...). Can't wait!

Thanks for reading guys. Til next time.
