Girl Meets World

10 days to go

I've decided to join the Blog Craze that's sweeping the world. I've held off for as long as possible but since I've ten days 'til I up and leave the country for three months, I thought this would be a great way for my fans...er friends to keep up with my life. I'm not going to promise this blog will be absolutely riveting, although I'm sure my mom will think, but I'll do my best.

For those who don't know, although there are few people who I haven't told, I'm off to Disney World for the summer. I found out last December that I was accepted into the international college program which means I'll be spending the majority of my summer ( June 11th-September 1st) working in Disney World and living with complete strangers. Before you even bother to ask how I got the job (every single person I tell asks me) I'll tell you. My mom found out about it from the website www.cast-a-way.com and convinced me to send in my resume. *Thanks Mom!*

Now I've just over a week until I leave home and head to the happiest place on earth. I'm ecstatic but I'm also a little scared and by a little I mean a lot. The longest I've ever been away from my parents is like 1 week. The longest I've been away from home: 3 weeks. So you can see how the prospect of 2 and a half months away from my near and dear might be a little daunting! Then again I've free access to the parks whenever I'm off. At home I'd just be sitting at home watching repeats of sitcoms, so I'm thinking I may just have the best summer of my life. I'm hoping.

Until then I've ten days to say my goodbyes to my family and friends, with a little fun thrown in. I'm going to see INXS tomorrow night in Vancouver. Then I'm meeting Jei (she's going to work at Disney for a year starting this summer) on Friday night. On Sunday it's out to Maple Ridge to see my cousins, aunt and uncle. Monday I'm back home for a week of friends and goodbyes before leaving on the Friday. In between all that I've got to pack. Ain't life grand?

Now the laundry is calling my name so I must sign off.
Keeping you posted,
Brynna
