Girl Meets World

Shorts!!!!!!!!!

So I thought yesterday was going to be a really crap day at work. Mostly because up until a couple weeks ago I've been wearing these super giant shorts to work. I had to wear these as the smaller size is just a bit too tight. So I've had to wear these huge shorts that I absolutely swim in. They look awful and aren't comfy at all. I must cinch my belt to it's tightest to keep them in place. Anyways one day I went to costuming and grabbed a pair of shorts. But instead of them being these massive awful things, they fit. They were the same size I'd been wearing all along, but they were old. The old style. So they fit, not so they looked amazing, but so it didn't look like I had clown pants on. It was amazing. I wore these shorts every shift for the next couple weeks. But you see, these shorts were so old that the fabric in the thighs had become paper thin. After wearing them so much and then one day washing them, the fabric disintegrated and giant holes started to form. My shorts were dead. So yesterday I had to go back to the other shorts and I was not happy. When I got to work I went into costuming just check and low and behold, I found another pair of ancient shorts! They fit! And they are better than the other ones cause they aren't as worn out. So I'm super happy about that.

The rest of my shift was good too. Some pretty good people were working. I got Launch Base three times, and then for the last hour and a half of my shift I got to do next to nothing as I'd been kicked out of LB for training. So I took flik cards out front, ran lost and found to the front of the park, and then chatted to Wendy. It was awesome.

After work we all went to Perkins and I ate a quesadilla and peanut butter silk pie. I was super full and then felt super sick, but my word that pie is good.

On Thursday and Friday I had the days off. On Thursday I went to see Hairspray again with Bree. It was fun. I love that movie alot. Like alot alot. Afterwards we went to Virgin and I found this movie that I've been looking for for years. I was so excited. You have no idea.

Friday I went and hung out with Jimmy at Epcot. It was super fun. We did Test Track, Living with the Land, Ice Station Cool and walked around the World Showcase. At 930 we went to MGM to get Ryan who was just getting off work. Then the three of us went to Ale House, which I hadn't been to since i got here. I was super excited. Loaded Fries! Zingers! Sigh.

I work today at 345pm. I have to do this cast excellence survey thing for an hour of my shift, which should be great as I dont' have to be in rotation for an hour now :) Then I work tomorrow, Tuesday and Wednesday. Then I'm off Thursday I think, then work at 6am friday. Ugh. and I think I work on Saturday too....

I'm listening to the Hairspray soundtrack right now. I'm in love with that movie. Must see it again!

My Week at a Glance

So I have no idea when I last updated this thing. I've been out and about and haven't really had the chance to sit down and collect my thoughts. Or I have had the time but haven't really wanted to deal with my thoughts, so I've stored them away where I don't have touch them. I've been a wreck here and there this past week because I am crazy and that is what happens to crazy people.

On Tuesday it was Park Day! I started out my morning with Kelly and Bree at Epcot. It was super good fun. We had some breakfast then did Test Track, and shopped a bit. Then we headed over to Animal Kingdom and met up with Matt. We had lunch at Flame Tree, then went over to dinoland and did Primevil Whirl. After that we got in line for Finding Nemo and Ryan and Jimmy met up with us. The show was great as always, long, but great. Afterwards he headed back to Dinoland where Ryan used his superpowers to get us 14 fast passes for Dinosaur.

This was followed by wierdness which I will not elaborate on because I'm not even sure what happened.

Then we went to Everest and rode that. We got in FP cause Matt traded some MK re-ads. Then Matt complained because we got split up for the photo and they wrote us a no strings to go on again. We saved it and went over to Safari. We asked to get in Mike Ruckus' truck and they sent us up through the fastpass line and then it turned out Mike wasn't even working, but we still got to get on with no line, which was awesome.

Then we went to Dinosaur and rode twice. Then back to Everest and I bought the photo.

After that we wanted dinner. We couldn't decide where to go and then Jimmy thought up a brilliant plan, let's go to Yaht and Beach and eat in their foodcourt. We found out too late that Yaht and Beach doesn't have a food court. So I was starving as we walked and walked with no food to be found. We ended up at Boardwalk where I eventually had half a panini because I couldn't eat the rest as I actually started to feel ill from the hunger.

After food we ended up wandering around Boardwalk, and I mean inside, like going up and down the hallways of every floor. It was actually really fun. I had a blast.

After that we went home.

Wednesday was Typhoon Day. Me, Jimmy, Ryan, Kyle, Liz, Kelly and Tim all went to Typhoon Lagoon. It was awesome. We all had alot of fun. At around 615ish everything went down for rain, so we had to wait around for awhile but then at 715 everything opened back up and there were barely any people there so we got on all the slides line free and the wave pool was totally empty. It was pretty damn awesome.

After Typhoon we went to Downtown Disney and I had chicken and chips from Raglan Road. I seemed to remember the chicken being much better, but I think was just remember the tartar sauce, cause I love tartar sauce. lol. Then we went home due to tiredness.

Thursday I was off again. I woke up at 830am and just after 9am Chase came and picked me up. We went to MGM where we proceeded to spend the entire day. We met up with Matt around 1ish and we had to sit through two High School Musicals as one of Matt's friends had just taken over the lead female part. That is definately a show that only needs to be seen once.

Later on we ended up spending like two hours with Ryan in the Coordinators office in Ops 3. That was fun for awhile, but I got restless, so I went and hung out over at coaster with the working folk.

I was supposed to meet Chase and Matt at Load to ride, I went over to say hi to Wendy. They should have been right behind me. Twenty minutes later I go looking for them. They were gettin back together. So I had to wait another like 15 minutes for them, feeling like a loser standing at Load. lol. I didn't want to be in the breakroom, no one was in there and there were managers at unload so I didn't want to hang there.

Finally they showed, we rode. Then we went to Fantasmic where we had VIP seating thanks to the wonderful and amazing Ryan. After that we got a ride on Security Guard Roger's Pargo back to Coaster. Which was fantastic. We hung in the courtyard awhile, then went inside in hopes of an allride. It didn't happen. We were wavering on whether or not to go to Hairspray. Decided not to. Then last minute decided to. So at midnight we went to see it and it was awesome. Fantastic. Sooooooo good!

Then yesterday I worked. So so shift. Near the end and proceeding directly up until later tonight I was mostly in a pissy mood. I didnt' get to go get HP at midnight which made me angry. Also other stuff pissed me off too.

Then this morning Danny and I went to Walmart and got it. It's beautiful. I'm a hundred pages in. So good so far.

Worked tonight. It was mostly a good shift. Really good people working. I was pissed off for most of it though, my mood just woulnd't budge. Then near the end I was happy. Now I'm settled somewhere between there, happy and annoyed. People are stupid and I want to throw my shoe at them....

I'm at home right now, talking to Scotty and writing this. Work tomorrow at 2:30pm. Not looking forward to it. Who does?

P.S- Mom had surgery on Wednesday. If ur reading love you lots and hope you're feeling better!

Let's review

The last time I posted would be the 10th right? So what's happened since?

The 11th was a Wednesday....so that means I worked that day, then went to see Harry Potter with Jimmy, Ryan, Kyle and Phillip. Excellent movie, I must say. Full of fun and excitement. I ate so much food that night, i nearly threw up. I went to get a pretzel at the stand and this lady offered me a free popcorn coupon good only that night, so of course I had to get it...lol. Then after the movie we went to some place called Whataburger.

The 12th was Thursday. I was off on Thursday, so I went to the Florida Mall with the girls. I bought a few new things. Some new jeans from Old Navy, a sweat shirt from American Eagle, a henley from Aeropostale, and a tank and short sleeve cardigan from Anchor Blue.

Friday, worked in the evening. Got an ER around 8pm and came home to sit around and do nothing, but then I could go to sleep early which is what I intended as Saturday, aka, yesterday, I had an early morning shift.

So I worked yesterday morning. It was a relatively good shift, as far as shifts go. I had some fun, did a few tasks which is always good. Got a ride home from Tim, which was excellent as the bus is the devil.

Last night Tim and I went to wishes. Love Wishes. So pretty. It was the first time I have actually really watched it since I got here. I've missed it.

I work tonight at 3:15pm til close. I have all closing shifts this week.

Tuesday a group of us are going to Animal Kingdom, I'm so very excited.

More to report later,

Brynna

Sigh...

The weight of what's coming is already crushing me. The idea that in less than two months I'll be back home makes it hard to breathe. I'm trying my hardest not to think of it, trying to ignore the impending dates. There are things I need to do here before I can even think about leaving. I don't want to be filled with regrets as I head back to blasted Canada. I miss my friends and family of course, but nothing else. I don't miss school like other people. I don't miss my hometown like other people. Orlando feels like home.

These past few days have been alright. Saturday at work was interesting, although I can't really outline why is was interesting because there could be people reading this that I'm not sure I want to read about what exaclty happened. It's slightly startling. At least it was for me. lol.

Saturday at work, besides the 'interesting' bit was pretty good. There was a good crew of people working. Afterwards Donald, Kyle, Joy, Ryan, Jimmy and I went to Perkins. I ate way to much. They had a buffalo chicken wrap. I just can't resist buffalo chicken and blue cheese, no matter how hard I try.

Sunday I worked the night shift. We had a 101 for an emergency stop. That was pretty cool. The train stopped as it was starting to go up the loop so people were like hanging there on an angle. They weren't upside down, but it was still pretty funny. I got to go reset a zone which means I got to go in the Gravity Building again. I love the Gravity Building. It's so awesome in there.

Monday, yesterday, I was off. I hung around the apartment til about 6 and then went to MGM with Joy. She's never really done any of the parks so it was fun to take her on a few new things. Then we met up with Wendy and some of her friends and went to see Transformers. Probably the bestest movie I've seen all summer. It was freaking awesome. Hilarious and action packed. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. I will definately be buying this movie when it comes out on DVD. Bring on the sequel!

I work at 3:30pm today. I don't wanna, but it's kind of necessary. I like work, I just like my days off too. lol. I work on Wednesday too, during the day. Then on Thursday I'm off again. Not sure what I'll do then. Hopefully something will pop up.....

Going to go eat some lunch, get ready for work. Have a nice day all.

Brynna

I can't think of an interesting title...

So Wednesday I was off because I gave my shift away. So I went out to MGM with Wendy, Scotty and Kyle. It was Wendy's birthday. It was actually a really fun day. We did the Backlot Tour, Little Mermaid, Star Tours, Great Movie Ride, Tower and then Coaster of course. It was terribly fun and I spent a good deal of the day laughing. It was a good group of people. On GMR we got backdoored cause I asked to do a show with Alex. It was really cool, for like the first time in ages we got the bandit instead of the gangster. If you haven't been on GMR you will have no idea what I'm talking about, frankly that's your own fault and you should come see me in Disney World to rectify this issue.

I was also really happy to see Little Mermaid again, because I hadn't seen it since like 1999. I tried to go last year, but it was the day the computers were down and and so the show wasn't running.

We ate lunch at Pizza Planet. I'd never eaten there before either. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the pizza was like amazingly delicious. I was expecting the common disney mediocrity, but no, it was delicious. Scotty managed to finagle a cookie out of the one of the food service people for Wendy. A cookie me and Wendy shared later that day. It was really good.

We ended up spending about an hour in the coaster breakroom while it rained. Scotty had to work at 730pm and Kyle left to go god know's where. So Wendy and I hung around then we left and went and got more free food from Sunset Market Ranch cause one of Wendy's friends was working. We left just as the fireworks were playing. I was amused to see them synchronized to God Bless America as sung by Celine Dion, a Canadian.

Yesterday I hung around the apartment for the better part of the day. Around 5:00pm Tim came and got me and we went to EPCOT. It was his first time there. We had some fun. We went on Spaceship Earth first and it went 101 while we were sitting two cars away from the exit. Had whoever jumped out chosen to do it like five seconds later Tim and I would have been able to get off and go elsewhere, but no, we sat there staring at the exit for ten minutes while the Spaceship Earth person ran around like a chicken with its head cut off trying to get up to the Sisteen Chapel where the alleged person jumped out of the car.

After that we went to Mission Space and got fast passes. Then Tim bargained some more out of a guy for a Coaster Rider Switch. We then walked over to Test Track which had just reopened after a weather closing. We got on it relatively fast which was nice. Of course just before we got to the outside part the ride went 101 and we sat there for a few minutes. Finally it started up again, but it lost it's excitement by then. lol.

We went on Mission Space after that. For the first time like ever I didn't get ill on it at all. In face I felt just fine. It was odd.

We ate dinner after that at Electric Umbrella. I had chicken strips which were good as always.

We left Epcot after that and headed over to MGM so we could say bye to Scotty. We hung around for awhile talking, rode once. Then Tim and I left, he dropped me off back at Vista. I got changed and then about an hour later Scotty and Wendy picked me up and we went to Perkins with Kelly, Kyle, Michael and his boyfriend, and Ryan Boy and Ryan Girl. It was a good time. I laughed alot. The food was good. I had a chocolate muffin that was so good. Got home around 1am. I was dead tired. I fell into bed around 2.

Today I went to Property Control, Cast Connection, and Company D. I got another holder for my ID's, but nothing else. I wasn't thrilled with what was on offer. I couldn't be bothered to spend my money. After that I came home and fell asleep for a couple hours. I went to WalMart around five and now I have food again! Yay. I was getting tired of Grilled Cheese.

Now I'm just sitting at home bored. I work tomorrow at 3. Must do laundry tomorrow morning. If I forget I'll be very sorry come Sunday.

Brynna

P.S- I saw Vanessa Williams a few days ago. Well the back of her and a bit of her profile. She was on her way out when someone told me so I followed her.

Apparently I also saw a black eyed pea last week I'm not sure which one. The black one I think?

Fun, fun, fun

The past few nights I've been working. Monday night was an alright night. Not too exciting really. I finally got Launch Base after not having it for like....a week. I really can't remember anything else about Monday night. Oh right, Jimmy was working. I haven't worked with him in like two weeks, so it was kind of nice. He gave me a ride home and we went to Wendy's.

Last night was pretty damn awesome. I worked from 415 til 1030 among an excellent group of people. A group of us decided to go to Magic Kingdom after work, as MK was open til 1am last night. So me, Tim, Scotty, Wendy, Kyle, Alejandro and Danny all went over to MK for a couple of hours of fun. It was probably one of the best nights I've had since I got here! When we got there we headed over to Space Mountain but it was 101 I think, so instead we ran over to Buzz Lightyear where I got my lowest score in like forever. It was fully disheartening and everyone else totally beat me, usually I do so well. After that we walked over to Adventureland and everyone got pineapple floats from the dole whip place. Delicious. Then we walked over to Big Thunder and rode it. It was pretty awesome. After that we hopped over to Splash Mountain and inevitably got wet, which wasn't so great as it was like 12:30am and the sun was not out to dry us. After that the park was going to close in like 15 minutes, so we ran, well I tried to but my shoes weren't exactly good for that purpose, to Space Mountain. We got in right before it closed and rode. It was pretty excellent. It's actually Wendy's birthday today. So at midnight we went and stood in front of the castle and sang to her. Then Scotty kept bartering with cast members, telling them it was her birthday. She got a free dole whip float, free popcorn and a free bottle of water. It was pretty funny.

After we finished riding space mountain we took a bunch of group photos, first in front of the space mountain washrooms, which was wierd, and then over in front of the castle. We got a nice security guard to take the pics of us in front of the castle. The park was pretty empty by then as it was closed. We left, hopped on the monorail and walked back to the cars.

All in all it was a pretty awesome night. I had a blast. Scotty is going home on Friday, which sucks. It was awesome having another one of the good people from last summer around. So sadly that group of us will never be all together at once again. It will definately be one of those nights I remember forever though. Going to Perkins and what not after work is always fun, but Magic Kingdom so totally rules.

I gave my shift for today away. I'm going to go hang out with Wendy as it is her birthday. Hopefully I shall have some fun.

Everything hurts...

These past couple days have been the longest ever. I had a morning shift at coaster yesterday and like an idiot I decided to extend for some reason. At the time I had lots of good reasons. Money, good people working, lack of anything to do last night. So all day long I was pretty much under the impression it wasn't going to happen, then right as I'm about to clock out I find out I've been extended to closing. I won't deny it, I was actually happy to find this out. Last night was a pretty good shift for the most part. I had fun with the people who were there. But around 9ish the pain of being on my feet for so long started to kick in, all I wanted to do was sit. Annoyingly enough though I got stuck closing unload advance and those stupid maitenance people decided to do a five train shuffle, so instead of being off at 10:30 like I should have been, I got off about 20 minutes later. Thank god that Joy waited for me so I could get a ride home, cause I'd of course, missed the bus.

This morning I started at 9am. Because a few days ago I had the bright idea to pick up an extra shift today so I could make some overtime. So of course, after getting home last yesterday and not sleeping great, I didn't really want to be there. I put in for an ER, which sat 'unread' for like eight hours before they denied it. Sigh. So I worked for 9am to 10:30pm. My legs are killing me now. The second half of my shift was kind of torture. Walking = not fun. It was an alright shift for the most part. There were good people around for most of the day, which is always good. No matter how much I love Coaster, the job just sucks if you get trapped working with unfun people.

Today, while I was out a greeter this afternoon, the Christian sky writers were back sending us inspirational messages such as Trust Jesus, Praise Jesus, and my favourite: U + GOD = :) except the smiley face was right side up and had a circle around it. Gotta love those extremists.

Friday, it was Meg's birthday so a few of us went out to lunch. Then I went to MGM with Meg, Geoff and two of Meg's work people. I hung out with them for a few hours, then decided to go home while they went to another park cause of my early shift on Saturday. I actually ended up going over to Coaster and hanging out there for a little while cause I started talking to Joy and Wendy and lost track of time. Then I went and got dinner at Take 5 as I'm almost completely out of food.

Work tomorrow at....like 3 or something. Some time around then. I probably wont' have anything exciting to say for a few days....so if I dont' update, sorry!

Brynna

P.S -Happy Canada Day
