Girl Meets World

Insert sigh here...

It's been a hectic couple of days. Well not so much hectic as just plain old tiring and busy. I left off here on the afternoon of the fourth just as I was heading off to work for one of the busiest days of the year. It was an alright shift. There were lots of people around which was annoying but I got through. Still there are only so many unintelligent guests you can handle. I don't even really remember getting home that night or anything.

Yesterday I worked at 8:45a.m. so I didn't get as much sleep as I'd have liked the night before. So I went to my shift and worked. It wasn't a horribly exciting day but enjoyable. I do like working there. After work I rushed home and agreed to meet Jei at Downtown Disney so we could catch The Devil Wears Prada. I got home and showered in a hurry then caught the bus downtown. Got there and got some chicken strips from McD's then we headed off to the show. It was very very good. I really enjoyed it. Kinda got lost at the end, though as in the span of three minutes my mom text messaged me and Kev called and texted me. I haven't figured out how to silence the phone so I was having a little freak out trying to shut it off. Therefor I'm not too sure exactly what happened but I'm sure I'll find someone who can tell me. After the movie we took a quick gander in World of Disney as we had about 45 mins before the next bus. I finally bought the pirates T I've been staring at for weeks. Caught the bus after the buying and then came straight home and dived into bed, stopping only long enough to change my clothes.

This morning I was up early again as I had to work at 8:30a.m. It was not pleasant being so tired/stuffed up. I got the bus and walked as if in a haze into work. I stopped at Take 5 for a bagel as I still have no breakfast food. I was really after some special K with a banana (I'd brought the cereal just needed the milk and banana) but they didn't have any bananas out and I can't hae special K without Banana. It just isn't right. So I got this kind of crappy bagel which I ate. Then I started work. I got to pick what position I wanted to start with which was really cool. I picked back grouper which has become my favourite shift. It's all about the math which I love. It's just one giant math game, or as a girl at work once said, a game of tetris. Must make the lines even. Back Grouper also gets to do Rope Drop in the morning which I had yet to do so I was really eager to go. Basically what is is that the park will open the gates around 8:45a.m. and start letting guests in but they can only go up Hollywood BLVD, then there's a rope holding em back from all the attractions. A couple people from Tower of Terror come out and a couple from the Coaster to 'lead' the people back to the attractions so they don't all run in a mad frenzy. Before that though the cool 'Stars' came out and did a little pre-opening show. The stars are a group of actors portraying actors/directors who think they're living in the 1940's. They are very funny to watch. If your ever in MGM and you see them you have to stop and watch cause it's tons of fun. So I got to watch they're little opening show and they did the countdown to dropping the rope. Then everyone started to rush and of course we had to yell to them that they couldn't possibly get on the ride if they don't stay behind us as we have the keys (we really don't).

So we got the people there only to have to inform them that we were having an opening delay and the ride wasn't working yet. Well I didn't tell them, I kind of ran inside with Austin (other guy at rope drop/front grouper) and avoided the wrath (if there was any) of the impatient guests. Inside we hung out for like half an hour until the ride was finally up and running. Got to go on the ride to do a test run which was, as always, cool.

After we finally started letting people in I was grouper for awhile before I got bumped to Greeter which was nice and hectic as we got so backed up the line was stretching all the way through the courtyard. I'm not too sure what else I did today and in what order, I know I was at backgrouper again and at Unload for awhile. That's really all I can remember. It was only a 6 hour shift. After work I came home and got changed then went to Epcot to go to the SALSA sale which sucked. Spend a little save alot: not really. More like...Sucky a little, sucks alot. I'm sure there was some nice stuff but it was so overwhelming and hard to find things and there were so many people and it was storming. I didn't buy anything, just wanted to get out and get home. So I did.

I came home and the went to Walgreens to load up on a few things (TP, Milk, Ice Cream...) Then I came home and made some spaghetti which was yummy. I put a ton of cheese on it and it makes it fantastic. Now I'm here bloggin to all you folk. You better be reading cause I could be doing other things like watching Battlestar Galactica (I'm in the middle of the second half of the pilot. It's taking me awhile to get through as I'm so busy!).

I work again tomorrow night. I must remember to pick up my check tomorrow. Don't want to forget that. I also need more uniforms. Pirates comes out tomorrow. I'm bitter as I may have no one to go with. Stupid people can't wait til I get off work. If I have to see it alone I'll be very depressed.

As for any other news I really don't have any...haven't seen you know who since the 3rd:(

I must go now as I'm boring myself to death with my less than exciting life. Though it's still miles more exciting than any life back in Ladysmith. Sorry guys, but it's true. I miss you of course, but you'd all be much more fun if you were here.
