Girl Meets World

My Job is Better Than Your Job!

It's true. Don't try and deny it, because you know it's true. I mean how many of you (besides you Disney working folk like myself) have such a cool job? How many of you get total free access to the Disney theme parks all the time? How many of you get a 20% discount on all Disney merchandise. How many of you get paid to ride a roller coaster? NONE OF YOU! Except maybe you disney folk.

Yesterday I had a nice long eight hour shift at the coaster. Usually an 8 hour shift would send me into a tizzy but not at Disney. I didn't mind one bit. Sure my feet were hurting and I was a bit sleepy, but I didn't mind. I like my job that much. I could stay there day after day. Admittedly there are a few positions on my rotation that aren't the greatest but I get through all right. I started work at 2pm yesterday and worked until 10:30pm. I didn't get to do most of the positions though. I spent most of my time at Front Grouper and Studio B with a little bit of time at Unload Advance, Merge and Greeter. Well not so little time at Greeter. I was there twice. The first time it was awful as it started to rain about seconds after I got out there. Yes I have a bit of shelter to hide under but it doesn't work that well when it's windy too! So I got a bit damp. Florida being florida, though, meant it didn't take me a ton of time to get dry. One of the reason's this place rocks. There was virtually a river going through Greeter during the rain then just a few short hours later it was bone dry.

After my shift ended I got on the bus and came home. I got home from work at like 11:30pm. I came in the apartment and proceeded to attempt to read and not fall asleep. Didn't work. Eventually started to nod off but was abruptly interupted when my cell phone started to ring. It was Kevin telling me he was on his way home. I'd agreed to meet up with him and Louisa at the Pavillion when he got back. So about ten mins later he called again and I headed over. Thankfully I wasn't that drowsy after my ten second cat nap. So we went to the Pavillion and sat for awhile and talked. It was very exciting...or not. But it was nice.

This morning I slept later than I have since I got here. A sure sign I'm actually sick. For some reason Disney motivates me to not be so lazy. Most of you are well aware that I spend most days sleeping until 11am or noon. Here I'm usually up by 9:30am. I know, shocking! Today I wasn't up 'til 11am, though. A little while after I got up Kelly, Laura and I paid an anormous amount of money to take a cab to the Florida Mall. It was worth it, though, I think. It was a mall after my own heart. It had everything I love in it. Old Navy, the Gap, American Eagle, a book store, Shaper Image...the list goes on and on for 260 stores. Needless to say I spent alot of my (mom's) money. At Old Navy I got a pair of very comfy brown capris and some socks for work. I got a burgundy henley from American Eagle and a Blue stripey shirt from Aeropostle. I also got three book from Waldenbooks. I could have spent alot more money but I was sort of weary of it. So I didn't. That's why mom and dad are coming down in August anyways! P.S to all of you wondering to get me for my birthday...cash is nice. LOL. I'm burning through it here and will be dead broke come September.

After we finished shopping we paid another exorbatent amount of money to get home. Now I'm here typing to you people. I wanted to see Superman tonight but don't really have anyone to go with. I dunno if I'm willing to go by myself yet or not. Maybe. We'll see. Seems everyone has already seen Devil Wears Prada, which sucks as I am desperate to see it. I'm the only person here who's even read the book!

Funny story. Three days ago I lost my nail clippers. They were no where to be found what so ever. It was incredibly irritating! I searched everywhere. Under the bed, in the dresser and nightstand, my closet, the bathroom, the living room. They were absolutely no where. Then last night I look over at my nightstand and there they are just sitting there. So I'm either going crazy or I've a borrowing roomie.

So I don't really think I've got anything of interest left to mention. I could ramble on for awhile but I'm not sure you'd keep reading. Perhaps you would as my prose are always witty and interesting, but I don't want to chance it. So I'll go, but not before reiterating again just how much I love it here and how much I want to stay here forever. The prospect of going back to school in September is not exciting. I can't get myself excited about my major anymore which sucks.

Anyways, I'm going to go now.
Brynna

P.S- Mom I charged a bit on the card today, but not a ton!
